The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (approved by AICTE) is a full time programme designed to meet the challenges of rapid change in our society. It aims at training young dynamic minds into becoming entrepreneurial managers with above aim in view. The concept and courses of study have been formulated using 'CAPABILITIES' as the benchmark. While the courses incorporate the essential theory, constant attempt, endeavor and thrust to make the total programme as close to practice as it can be, emulating a model close to a physician's education. The learning pedagogy is attempting a balanced mix of classroom curriculum, non-classroom learning and on-the-job experience to shape the right set of attitude, skills, knowledge and vision. some essential features of 'Learning Concept' are :-
Information sharing and exchange linkages with outstanding educational institutions in Indian and abroad, partnerships with small and medium enterprises, a management faculty of international standing, and a set of distinguished and eminent speakers and members on various boards are helping in continual upgrading and enriching the programme. The Post Graduate Programme at EMPI is divided into four semesters spread over two years. The first two semesters are foundation, the third is functional and the fourth is integrative. Assessment is continuous, varied and exacting. It emphasize development of personal and professional competence as well as gaining of business knowledge and skills. The multidimensional evaluation system enables the students to monitor their performance through their participation in a variety of learning activities such as class participation, case presentation, assignments, quizzes, mid-semester and end-semester examinations, and general conduct and etiquette at the institute. The new management library equipped with latest books and journals of international and national importance. Computerized on-line databases, Audio and Video educational materials are available in the digital library concepts.
EMPI 2008 Application Form / Selection Procedure
EMPI 2008 Application Form Duly completed Application Form should be sumbitted personally or through post along with the Form Cost of Rs. 1,200/- by cash or crossed DD drawn in favour of EMPI Business School payable at New Delhi. Address: EMPI Business School, EMPI 2008 Selection Procedure 1. Prospectus and Application Form priced at Rs. 1200/- is available at the EMPI Campus / City Centre. 2. Applicant should fill Part 'A' and Part 'C' of the form in his / her own handwriting. 3. Part 'B' should be filled by the parent / guardian who will finally support the applicant after carefully understanding the details. Declaration by parent of name of the local guardian is an essential prerequisite for admission and must be submitted in the prescribed form provided separately. If this information is not readily available, the form must be completed by parent later and submitted along with the other information required for admission. 4. Completed forms must be submitted in the enclosed envelop which carries EMPI address. 5. All applicants, except those in exempt / relaxation category (first 15 University Rankers, Executives with minimum 2 years work experience, Serving Armed Forces / Government officials, NRI / Sponsored candidates) should first pre-qualify through EMPI prescribed tests. As such all applicants taking the IIM's CAT, AIMA's MAT, Xavier's XAT or EMPI's EMAT examination, achieving high percentile score are considered for selection for the programme. This attainment is considered as pre-qualification for stage - II selection procedure of EMPI. Exempted candidates wishing to upgrade their selectivity level can do so by additionally appearing and scoring high marks in the prescribed tests. Exempt / relaxation categories must furnish details satisfying the criteria for seeking exemption / relaxation on separate sheet. 6. All candidates clearing the pre-qualifying test are also required to go through EMPI's comprehensive Personality Assessment and Profiling Exercise conducted at our Personality Assessment Centre - resulting in building up of a datasheet on each candidate's strengths/ weaknesses. This is subsequently availed to support the student in developing his/her personality through Personality Assessment Centre, Enhancement and Upgradation Processes (PACE-UP) Programme. As the profiling exercise may extend over 2 days, applicants are advised to make their own arrangements for stay in Delhi during this period. 7. Pre-qualified students, as per para (5) above, after being examined in the GD/ Interview are either put in the direct selection list or advised to go through more detailed study of their personality through Personality Assessment and Profiling exercise elaborated in Para (6). It should be noted that those in the direct admission list will also go through this exercise at a later date. Applicants before being admitted to this Assessment Centre Exercise are required to pay an Expert Fee of Rs.1000/- either in Cash or by Demand Draft (drawn in favour of EMPI PGI payable at New Delhi). 8. Those given offer of admission are required to furnish comprehensive information for Dress requirements befitting the EMPI Executive Dress Code (EDC) in the prescribed form issued along with the offer of admission. Similarly information for Executive Fitness Programme (EFP) is required to be completed in another form. 9. One passport sized coloured photograph should be affixed in spaces indicated in the Application form (one on the Admission / Identification card and the other on the form. ) 10. Applicants must write in block letters their complete postal address on the enclosed self adhesive stickers to enable quick despatch of the ADMIT CARD and subsequent correspondence. 11. The application must be accompanied by attested copies (by gazetted officer) of marksheets (10th class onwards) and other certificates. Applicants should also bring their original certificate at the time of interview. Incomplete applications in any respect will not be processed. 12. EMPI will not be responsible for any postal delays and loss in transit. Applicants are advised to keep in touch with us by telephone / personally to ensure that they are meeting the dates. 13. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. 14. Any misrepresentation or suppression of information and misconduct during or after selection will lead to cancellation of admission and expulsion. 15. EMPI Management reserves the right of final decision on admission in accordance with its policy criterion for overall assessment of individuals. |
