Asia Pacific Institute of Management Entrance Exam 2009

Asia-Pacific Institute of Management (AIM) offers the following AICTE approved programmes (equivalent to MBA):

Two Year Full-Time

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management : PGDM
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing) : PGDM(M)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business) : PGDM(IB)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Banking & Financial Services) : PGDM(BFS)

Three Year Part-Time

  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management : E-PGDM
  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing) : E-PGDM(M)

Areas of specializations: Marketing, International Business & Strategy, Finance, Human Resources, Operations Management & Decision Sciences, Information Technology.

In the first year, students are exposed to core courses in all functions of management. At the end of the first year, students are required to spend approximately 8 to 10 weeks in an organisation doing a project on some significant aspect or problem of management.

Eligibility

The minimum requirement for admission to the programmes is a 3-years Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in any discipline from a recognized Indian University with 50% marks

For those candidates who will be appearing in the final part of their degree examination, offer of admission will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to submit the degree result before 30th September next year. 30th June 2009 may also apply subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2009.


Application Form

The Prospectus and Application Forms are available on cash payment of Rs.1500/- from AIM counts and by post on sending Demand Draft of Rs.1500/- or by downloading from official website Foreign I NRI applicant can obtain [he Application Form and Prospectus by sending a Demand Draft of either US$ 50/- or Rs.2.300/- or on cash payment of Rs.2.250/- at AIM counter.

The Demand Draft should be in favour of Asia - Pacific Institute of Management" payable the Demand Draft. Prospectus once sold will not be taken back.

Last Date of recipt of Forms at AIM: 20th January 2009.

1. Procurement of the form

Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained from the admission office by cash payment or by D.D from Asia- Pacific Institute of Management Alternatively, interested applicants can download the Application Form and send the same duly completed, in all respect, along with required documents and the application fee either by cash/D.D.

Admission form and prospectus are also available from 56 branches of Punjab National Bank across India. List of approved branches of Bank is enclosed as Annexure.

AIM has also tie up with Punjab National Bank for the educational loan for (all the programmes offered at AIM).

This education loan facility will be available on All India basis at all the branches of the banks, subject to fulfillment of bank's norms & conditions.

Mode of Payment

Cash Rs 1500/- or D.D Rs 1550/-, in favour of "Asia Pacific Institute of Management", payable at "New Delhi".

2. Submission:-

Duly filled & completed application form in all respect, along with required documents and form fee shall be submitted in the Admission office.

Enclosures with the Application Forms

  • Copy of 10th mark sheet
  • Copy of 12th mark sheet
  • Copy of Graduation mark sheets, if in final year than 1st & 2nd year marks sheet.
  • Copy of MAT score card.
  • Five passport size photographs.

All documents should be duly attested (self attestation).


Selection Process

The Admission process comprises of the following stages:

1) Screening Test:

Candidates have to appear in any one of the following:-

  1. CAT conducted by IIMs (Fifty percentile and above)
  2. Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by AIMA
  3. XAT conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur.

Company-sponsored and International candidates are exempted from the written test.

2) Group Discussion and Personal Interview:

Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for a group discussion and personal interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate's overall assessment of performance in the screening test, group discussion and personal interview. Past academic record, experience etc.
