of Baroda looking for -1000- young and energetic candidates who would
participate in the transformation programme and join Bank of Baroda in
the Clerical cadre.

Eligibility Criteria:
A. Educational Qualifications:(As on 01.09.2008):
(a)
A Pass with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen) in HSC of 10 +
2 (10+2+3) pattern / 11th Standard of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate
/ Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking
recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. Admn.
(OR)
A
degree with a minimum of 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen)
in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent
qualification recognized as such by the Central Govt.
Note:
- For
Ex-Servicemen (who do not possess the above) a pass in Service
(Departmental) Examination which is recognized as equivalent to Civil
Examination not below the rank of Higher Secondary School Examination.
- All Educational Qualifications should be from recognized University / Central / State / U.T. Administration.
- (b) Should be able to write and speak English fluently.
- (c) Knowledge of local / State language for which he desires to apply, will be an added qualification.
- (d) Computer Literacy - Should be well versed with Microsoft Office / Lotus Packages.
B. AGE: (As on 01. 09. 2008): Minimum: 18 Years, Maximum: 28 Years
Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex Service Men as per Government's Guidelines. Details are mentioned in para 5 ( C ).

How To Apply :-
Eligible
candidates are required to apply only 'ONLINE' through our website and
no other means/ mode of application will be acceptable.
Before registering their applications on the website, candidates should possess the following :
- Valid email ID.
- Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- as application fee for General and OBC candidates.
- Demand Draft of Rs. 50/- as postage charges for SC/ST& PWD candidates
No other financial instrument other than Demand Draft is acceptable.
After
applying online, the candidate is required to download the system
generated printout of the application.This system generated printout of
the application should be signed by the candidate and sent along with :
- The
application fee in the form of Demand Draft for Rs 200/ (Rs 50/ for
SC/ST/PWD candidates) favoring BANK OF BARODA- RECRUITMENT OF CLERICAL
STAFF- PROJECT 2008, payable at Mumbai. The DD date should be from
2.9.08 to 30.9.08 only.
Note: Even if the Bank extends the date of online receipt of application by one or two days, the valid date of DD will not change.
- Copies
of certificates pertaining to age, educational qualifications,
experience and caste certificates in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- Medical Certificate in case of PWD candidates.
- Photograph pasted in the given place and signed across.
Note: Copies of certificates should be self-attested.
The
print out of the application along with the documents mentioned above
should be sent by Ordinary Post in a closed envelope superscribed as
"Application For The Post Of Clerical Staff - Project 2008" at the

Selection Procedure
Selection
will be on the basis of performance in Written Test and Interview.
Details of Written Test and Interview are as under:
A) Written Test:
- All
eligible candidates will be called for a Written Test which will be of
Objective type. The Objective Test consists of (i) Reasoning ability
(ii) Numerical ability (iii) Clerical Aptitude (iv) English (v)
Socio-Economic, Banking Awareness and Computer Awareness. There will be
negative marks for the wrong answers in the Objective Test. Candidates
will have to pass in each of the Objective Test.
- Candidates shall have the option to answer the Tests Paper either in English or Hindi.
- Depending
upon the number of candidates against the vacancies, the Bank would
call for interviews in the ratio of 1:3/1:4 as the case may be provided
the SC/ST/PWD candidates have secured minimum 35% marks and other
candidates have secured minimum 40% marks in the written test.
- Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the Written Test and Interview.
- Other
detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in
the "Acquaint Yourself" booklet which will be made available to the
candidate along with the call-letter.
The
Bank reserves the right, if required to hold a second stage of written
test on the basis of order of merit in the written examination of first
stage, as referred above. If the second stage of written test is held,
the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the
basis of order of merit of the second stage examination.
The written test is tentatively fixed on 30.11.2008 at the Centres indicated here.
B) Interview :-
Those short listed candidates in the order of ranking in the written
test as per the cut-off marks detailed above in para 6A© shall be
called for interview & the decision of the Bank in this regard
shall be final.
