1. The students will be admitted to the Engineering degree courses of the College of Engineering, Pune on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test CET (Engineering) 2009 conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth University on 24th May, 2009.

GGSIU Post Graduate Courses:

The college is running post graduate courses in following branches, M.Tech. Civil (Hydraulic Engineering), M.Tech.(Computer Engineering), M.Tech.(Chemical Engineering), M.Tech. Electrical Engineering, M.Tech. Electronics Engineering, M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering & M.Tech. Information Technolog. The admissions to these courses are given through an Entrance Test conducted separately by the University.

Foriegn / NRI / Management seats :

Fifteen percent seats are reserved under Foreign /NRI / Management category. Candidates seeking admissions to the seats of this category will have to apply separately on prescribed application form (Fee Rs. 600/-) and submit the same to The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. Seats remaining vacant after allotments to Foreign / NRI students, will be allotted to Indian students under management category on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained by them in CET (Engineering)-2009. The last date for submission of the form to this category is 11th May 2009.

2. CET (Engineering) - 2009 will be conducted on the date and at the time as mentioned in the calendar of events at the examination centers in the following cities, Navi Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Vadodara, Indore, and Hyderabad. The exact location and address of the Examination Centres will be communicated to the candidates through their admission cards.

3. There will be one question paper at the CET (Engineering) - 2009. It will be set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple choice objective type questions with four options A , B , C , & D . With only one correct choice. It will consist 100 questions on Mathematics and 100 questions on Physics.

Eligiblity :-

Only those candidates who satisfy or are likely to satisfy the relevant eligibility requirements for admission to the courses will be considered eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test CET (Engineering) - 2009.

Requisite qualifications for admission to First Year of B. Tech. courses The candidate seeking admission to any of these courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C.) or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 or HSC examination of any recognised Board/ University from any school/college situated in India.

i) The minimum Qualifications for admissions in Degree Engineering Programme : The candidate should be passed in 10+2 (qualifying) examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following optional subject.

  2. Bio-Technology

  3. Computer Science

  4. Biology

The candidate should also have passed in the subjects Physics and Mathematics and optional subject individually and must have obtained at least 50 per cent marks in Physics, Mathematics and any one optional subject taken together at the qualifying exam i.e. 10 + 2 / HSC / equivalent. (For SC / ST candidates 45 per cent).

ii) Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C. etc. but whose results have not been declared will also be considered eligible to appear for CET (Engineering) - 2009, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examinations. However, they should produce marksheet of HSC at time of counselling. The candidates who fail to submit the marksheet of HSC at the time of counselling will not be considered eligible.

Along with a Demand Draft drawn in the name of, "Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, of Rs. 2100/- (rupees two thousand one hundred only) Rs. 600 Form Fee and Rs. 1,500/- as Entrance Test Fee. The D.D. must be PAYABLE AT PUNE. This form must be sent through Registered Post/Courier.

  1. This form must be manually filled.

  2. You must paste the passport size photograph and make eligible signature in the space provided. (Do not pin the photograph)

  3. The address for communication must be clear and complete.

  4. If you have e-mail and mobile, mention it so that we can communicate you the examination number also through e-mail and mobile.

  5. You must also sign on the back side of the form to ensure that you have read, understood and voluntarily given the declaration.

2. All the forms received will be processed and after verification the Admit Card will be processed.

3. The Admit Card will be sent by post to the candidate.

4. If you fail to receive the Admit Card by 15th January, 2009 contact the University Office on the numbers given in calendar of events.

Bharati Vidyapeeth University 2009 Issue of Admission Cards

1. Admission Cards for CET (Engineering) - 2009 will be dispatched by post to candidates under certificate of posting. The Admission Card will indicate the Roll Number and Examination Centre allotted to the candidate with its address.

2. The Candidate must not mutilate the Admission Card issued to him/her or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated by the University authorities.

3. In case the A mission Card is not received by a candidate by 22nd May 2009 he/she should contact the concerned Designated Centres at Pune, Navi Mumbai and New Delhi (addresses given on section 12 or the concerned examination centres at Vadodara, Hyderabad & Indore address given on section 12 on one day prior to the scheduled date of Entrance Test, CET (Engineering) - 2009, for collecting a duplicate admission card. In such a situation, the candidate should bring two copies of his/her authenticated photograph alongwith him/her and a proof of submission/mailing of application form.

In case no proof is submitted, duplicate admission card will not be issued. Mere purchase plication form.
