SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2008
Staff Selection Commission will hold on Sunday, the 27th July, 2008,
an open competitive preliminary examination for filling up the
different categories of posts/service in various Ministries/Departments
by selecting/screening the candidates for the Main examination.
The Combined Graduate Level (Main) Examination, 2008 to be held on 21st, 22nd, 28th February, 2009 amd 1st March, 2009.

The
recruitment through the Combined Graduate Level (Preliminary)
Examination, 2008 and the Combined Graduate level (Main) Examination,
2008 will be made for the different categories of posts, subject to
availability of confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned
Intending Department/Office.
2. The Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2008 will be held for recruitment to the following posts:
Inspector
(Central Excise)/Inspector (Preventive Officer)/Inspector (Examiner) in
Custom Houses, (Group “B” Non-Gazetted) in the pay scale of Rs.6500 –
10,500 and Inspector of Posts in the pay scale of Rs.5500 – 9000. Assistant
(Group “B”, Non-Gazetted post) for Offices/Organisations like Central
Secretariat Service (CSS), Railway Board, Election Commission of India
Central Vigilance Commission in the pay scale of Rs.6500 – 10,500 and
also in the other Departments/Offices, viz, Ministry of External
Affairs, AFHQ, Department of Tourism etc. in the pay scale of Rs.5500 –
9000. Inspector of Income
Tax, Assistant Enforcement Officers (Group “C”, Non-Gazetted) in the
pay scale of Rs.6500 – 10,500 and Sub-Inspectors in CBI in the pay
scale of Rs.5500 – 9000. Divisional
Accountant in the pay scale of Rs.5500 – 9000, Auditors/Junior
Accountants in the pay scale of Rs.4500 – 7000 and UDC in the pay scale
of Rs.4000 – 6000 in various Central Government Departments/Offices.
Subject
to confirmation of vacancies in the relevant category of post from the
Departments/Organisations/Offices. Vacancies Vacancies are likely to
increase or decrease subject to administrative exigencies.
There
will be a Common Application Form both for the Combined Gradudate Level
(Priliminary) Examination and Combined Graduate Level (Main)
Examination. No Separate Notice / Advertisement will be Published for
the Main Examination.
Candidates, Who
will be declared qualified by the Commission for Admission to the
Written (Main) Examination on the Basis of The Combined Graduate Level
(Preliminary) Examination, will not have to apply Again.
Requisite Examination Fees will be Payable Only Once wherever applicable, alongwith the Prescribed Application Form. |
