The Common Entrance Test for admission to MBA & MBA (MS) full-time programs is scheduled to be held on January 11, 2009.

FMS 2009 Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for both the full-time MBA & MBA (MS) Programs.

Candidates applying for admission to the MBA (MS) programme must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor's Degree programme after twelve years of formal schooling in any of the following disciplines.

The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines is as follows:

  • Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences - 50%
  • Sciences - 55%
  • Mathematics or Statistics - 60%
  • Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 OR
  • Post Graduate Degree or 2nd Degree examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks.
  • Candidates must be at least 20 years of age as on 1st of October of the year of admission
  • Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility will be allowed only to candidates of the following categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/CW)

Note:

1. Candidates appearing for the final examination of Bachelor's / Post Graduate Degree examinations may also apply.

2. Candidates must be 20 years of age as on 1st of October of the year of admission.

3. There is no reservation whatsoever for the graduates of Delhi university or the residents of Delhi.


FMS 2009 Application Form

There are Three ways you can apply for FMS programs:

  1. Physical Form OR
  2. Online Application OR
  3. Downloadable Form.

Mode-I (Physical Form)

Information bulletin along with the application form can be purchased from the designated branches of State bank of India located in the cities.

Information bulletin along with the application form can be purchased from the designated branches of State bank of India located in the cities specified in the advertisement for the admission test. The cost of the Information bulletin also includes the Admission test fee as per the following:

For General category (unreserved) candidates:

  1. Applying for M.B.A. only : Rs. 500
  2. Applying for M.B.A. (Management of Services) only: Rs. 500
  3. Applying for Both M.B.A. and M.B.A. (Management of Services): Rs. 1000

For SC, ST, OBC (Non- Creamy Layer), PH, and CW candidates:

  1. Applying for M.B.A. only : Rs. 125
  2. Applying for M.B.A. (Management of Services) only: Rs. 125
  3. Applying for Both M.B.A. and M.B.A. (Management of Services) both: Rs. 250

At the designated SBI branches, applicants have to fill-in a printed Bank payment counter-foil (supplied by FMS) with their Name, Name of the Branch and the required amount. The bank will return two portions of the counter-foil to the candidate along with a packet containing the Information bulletin and the application form.

The Candidate is required to attach one stamped counterfoil, in original, with the duly filled application form while sending it to FMS. Application forms without the counter-foil or with the counter-foil showing incorrect amount will be rejected and the amount received will not be refunded.

Mode-II (Online Registration)

For apply online would be directed to visit the FMS website: http://www.fms.edu. Fill in the required information correctly.Verify the data entered. After the registration information is confirmed, no data can be modified. You will be able to pay the admission fee in two ways. Choose the appropriate mode of payment after you have confirmed your registration information.

A: Payment through Demand Draft:

A page (Admit Card format) would appear stating the candidate's name, registration number, address, space for photograph, space for signature and the amount to be paid by the candidate as admission test fee.

Take a printout (in triplicate) in A4 size page and fill following columns in all three copies: Details of the demand draft, signature and affix your passport size photographs (on all three copies). Demand draft needs to be drawn in favour of 'Registrar, University of Delhi' and made payable at Delhi.

Send the completed forms above (all three copies) along with the Demand draft and caste/category certificate (if any) to Administrative Officer, Faculty of management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 clearly postmarked before the last date.

Your online application will be further processed only upon the realization of the Demand draft and satisfactory verification of caste/category certificate (if any) by the FMS admission office. The receipt would be acknowledged through e-mail once the demand draft is realized.

B: Payment through online Internet Payment Gateway:

You would be directed to the Internet Payment Gateway of the Axis bank. Confirm payment through credit card / debit card. Same Fee is applicable across all modes.

After successful online payment, you would be directed back to the admission website. A page (Admit Card format) would appear stating the candidate's name, registration number, address, space for photograph and space for signature.

Take a printout of the page (in triplicate). Affix your recent passport size photographs and put your signature at appropriate places on all three copies.

Send the completed forms above (all three copies) along with caste/category certificate (if any) to Administrative Officer, Faculty of management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 clearly postmarked before the last date.

Your online application will be further processed only upon receipt of the above documents and satisfactory verification of caste/category certificate (if any) by the FMS admission office.

Note:

Applicants for part-time programs should also send 'Sponsorship letters' from their organizations in the prescribed format along with the documents mentioned above.

Unreserved or General Category candidate in Full time programme need not send any certificate.

No inter-category transfer of candidate is allowed and the candidate needs to choose only one of the category (General or Unreserved, Reserved: SC/ST/OBC/PH/CW).

Mode-III (Apply using download application form)

  • Download Application Form by clicking this link.
  • To open the form you would need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Print the downloaded form. Carefully check that the Application Form has seven (7) pages: (Four pages of main application form and three copies of the admit card format)
  • Fill in the required information correctly.
  • Paste your self-attested recent passport size photographs at designated places.
  • Do not forget to put your signatures on the main form as well as on admit card formats.
  • Application fee needs to be paid only through demand draft from any bank. Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at par at Delhi.
  • Attach the required amount of draft with the completed form along with all three copies of the admit card format and caste/category certificate (if any).
  • Put them in a sealed envelope without folding the Forms and the Admission Tickets. Send your sealed envelope through Ordinary or Registered Mail/ Courier/ Hand Delivery to The Administrative Officer, Faculty of management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007.
  • All mails must be clearly postmarked before 5 p.m. dated 1.12.2008.

FMS 2009 Selection Procedure for MBA:

Applications for admission to various programmes are invited through advertisements in major national newspapers in September/October every year.

Application forms are distributed to interested candidates on payment of the application fees.

The filled-in application forms are to be sent to the following addresses for further processing.

Eligible candidates are be called for a written test and/or an interview.

The eligible applicants will be called for a written test, and on the basis of their performance in the test, they will be called for an interview, an ex-tempore and a group discussion. The candidates will be required to produce their original certificates and mark-sheets at the time of the interview. The final list of candidates selected to the program will be announced after conducting all the interviews.

FMS 2009 Seat for Different Categories:

Each applicant will choose to apply in one of the following Nine Categories:

Open or Unreserved (Gen), Scheduled Class (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class, non-creamy layer (OBC), Visually Challenged (PH1), Auditory Challenged (PH2), Locomotor Challenged (PH3), Children of Defense Personnel killed/disabled in Action (CW1), Children of Defense Personnel killed/disabled on Duty (CW2), Foreign Nationals not studying in India (FS).

FMS 2009 Reservation Seats:

  1. 2-year Full Time MBA Admission 2009-11: Total seats 144. Unreserved: General (70), Reserved: SC (18), ST (9), OBC (25). Supernumerary: PH (4), CW (6), FS (12).

  2. MBA (Management of Services) 2-year Full Time Admission 2009-11: Total seats 64 including all unreserved, reserved and supernumerary seats. Unreserved: General (31), Reserved: SC (8), ST (4), OBC (11). Supernumerary: PH (2), CW (3), FS (5).

From this year, you can not only apply but also pay online for FMS Admission Process. Also you can download the application form from the FMS website and send the filled in form across to us. Postal Requests or Counter Sale from FMS Office in North or South Campus are discontinued.

Note:

  • Incomplete forms without bank counterfoil/bank draft will not be entertained.
  • The bank draft must be drawn in favour of "The Registrar, University of Delhi" payable at Delhi.
  • Completed forms should be sent to the Administrative Officer. Faculty of Management Studies. University of Delhi. Delhi-110007.
  • PMS reserves the right to change or cancel any of the test centres at its own discretion.
  • FMS, University of Delhi will not be responsible for any postal delay.
  • All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Delhi only.

FMS 2009 Admit Card

All eligible candidates for the FMS Entrance Exam 2009 will be receiving their admit cards by post in the first week of January, 2009. It is sent through Ordinary Post (Under Postal Certificate) so that the Admission Ticket can be delivered to the Candidate-written Address even though the Candidate is absent at the time of delivery.

1. Please download and open the file containing the name, roll number and examination center name as per your First Examination centre preference. Locate your Examination center by searching for your name (Ctrl + F and enter your name, surname as entered in the application form).

In case your name is not there in the city of first preference, please click on the alternative choice centres.

2. Note your roll number and examination center.

3. In case the admit card is not received by 11th January, 2009, please reach your Examination center in person at least two hours before the exam starts(14:00 hr) along with the following:

  1. One passport size photograph identical to that pasted on the application form.
  2. Any photo identity card as proof of identity. You may also carry a copy of the application form, if you have preserved that though it is not a necessity.

4. On verification of your roll number from the list provided by the FMS the Center Superintendent / Observer from FMS would issue duplicate admit card on the following spot.

Note:

1 . No Admit Card is sent through e-mail.

2. No one without a valid admit card would be allowed to take the admission test.
