NCHMCT 2009 Joint Entrance Examination
NCHMCT JEE 2009 for Admission to 1st Year of 3-Year B.Sc.in Hospitality and Hotel Administration for 2009-10 academic session. The Date of Written Test (NCHMCT JEE 2009) Shall be on 9th May, 2009 (2nd Saturday) 10.00a.m to 1.00 p.m. That NCHMCT shall offer B.Sc.in Hospitality and Hotel Administration program as a six semester program from July 2009 as under:

NCHMCT JEE 2009 Eligibility NCHMCT 2009 Mininmum Qualification * Should have passed +2 stage of 10+2 system or equivalent examination in any stream with English as one of the subjects. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2009 for being considered on provisional basis. * Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted to the allotted Institute at the time of admission. * Admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents to be produced by the candidates at the time of admission in Institute. * Even after admission to an Institute, if an applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of having submitted false information or testimonials or for having suppressed any material information, his/her admission will be cancelled and the fee paid will also be forfeited. Decision of National Council regarding the eligibility shall be final. List of approved qualifying examinations for Indian Students * Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/ State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. * Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. * General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. * High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University. * Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of India Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education. * H.S.C. Vocational Examination. * Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects. NCHMCT 2009 Age Limit * For candidates from General, OBC and Physically Handicapped categories upper age limit is 22 years as on 1.7. 2009, only those whose date of birth falls on or after July 01,1987 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25 years as on 1.7.2009, only those SC / ST candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1984 will be eligible. * Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/ Pre-University Certificate is the only authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for provisional admission. All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness
certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed
format given in this Brochure at the time of admission.

Down Loaded Application Form duly filled should be sent by Registered Post / Speed Post only to the above given address enclosing therewith requisite fee of Rs.850/- for General/ OBC categories and Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PH categories through Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn in favour of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, payable at Noida.

JEE-CELL of NCHMCT Important Notes for filling up of NCHMCT JEE 2009 Application Form:
Mailing your Filled NCHMCT JEE 2009 Application Form: * How, where and by when to send your completed Application Form Duly completed Application Form, along with Acknowledgement Card and Admit Cards(in triplicate), should be sent to in the pre-addressed envelope. JEE-CELL of NCHMCT, * Do not staple or paste the Acknowledgement Card and Admit Cards with the Application Form. * Ensure that the Application Form is not folded. Sealed envelope containing filled in Application Form, Acknowledgement Card & Admit Cards be sent through Registered Post/ Speed Post only not later than 8th April 2009. (Application sent through private courier services will not be accepted). * Applications mailed by Registered Post/ Speed Post after 8th April, 2009 shall also not be accepted. (Please indicate code and name of the center of your choice for the written test in the appropriate boxes given in the envelop, also tick the check list indicated on the envelop). * Acknowledgement Card Write your Application Form number in the space provided in the Acknowledgement Card. Also write your name and complete postal address in capital letters with PIN Code in the appropriate place. The Council will post the Acknowledgement Card immediately on receipt of your completed Application Form. NCHMCT JEE 2009 Admit Card Issue of NCHMCT 2009 Admit Card: * The Council shall issue Admit Card to the candidate indicating roll number, name and address of examination venue enabling the candidate to carry the Admit Card to the allotted venue on the day of examination for appearing in the test for verification by authorized representatives. Candidate should carefully check the Admit Card for all the entries made therein. Incase of any discrepancy, it should immediately be brought to the notice of the JEE CELL in the Council in writing. Non-receipt of NCHMCT 2009 Admit Card: * If the Admit Card is not received by 1st May, 2009 the candidate should access the Council's web site and key in his/ her Application Number to access the required information and can collect duplicate Admit Card from the allotted center of JEE. The candidate will be issued duplicate Admit Card by the Central Test Administrator(CTA) only on the day of examination if the details and photograph match with the original record available at Examination Center. NCHMCT JEE 2009 Exam Pattern
Language of Question Paper: * Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi (except for English Language) Marking Scheme for JEE Written Test: * For each question you will be awarded on mark if you have darkened only one bubble corresponding to the correct answer. In case you have not darkened any bubble, you will be awarded zero mark for that question. There will be negative marking to the extent of half mark for darkening a wrong bubble.There will be no negative marking for Aptitude for Service Sector. Merit List: * All India merit list of candidates shall be prepared with a unique rank on the basis of marks secured in the Written Test as well as other factors i.e. marks obtained in English component, Service Aptitude component and age of the candidate. Result of Written Test: * Result of Written Test shall be announced on the web site of the National Council in the First week of June, 2009. Allotment of seats through De-Centralized/ Centralized Counseling: * National Council shall arrange Counseling at State capitals where IHM/ SIHM are located, the places can be deleted or added as per facilities available at the Counseling centers. The details shall be displayed / circulated on or before announcement of result of JEE-2009 (Written Test) in the website or at the time of Written Test. Refund of Fee after taking admission at the allotted Institute: * In case of withdrawal within a month from the date of admission at the allotted Institute, 50% of the deposited fee shall be refunded by the concerned Institute. No fee will be refunded if, admission is withdrawn after 30 days from the date of admission on any ground except caution money. * National Council has instituted Merit Scholarships Scheme with the help of Industry for meritorious students who obtain Ist, IInd and IIIrd position on All India basis in Council’s Annual Examination in the Ist year, IInd year and IIIrd year of the course. * National Council also provides Financial Assistance to the tune of Rs. 20,000/- in a year to one of the most deserving Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidate who fulfill eligibility criteria as per stated guidelines given by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology. * There will be no fees concession for candidates belonging to Scheduled Case/ Scheduled Tribe. Such candidates can however avail financial assistance from their respective State Governments for which the concerned Institute will issue studentship certificate indicating fee received from the student.
Commencement of Academic Session: * Academic Session 2009-2010 will commence from 21st July, 2009 in all the affiliated institutes. Inter-Institute Transfer/ Migration: * Institute once allotted at the time of Counselling will be final. The National Council does not allow inter-institute transfer or migration on any ground during the entire duration of course. As such, no request for transfer or migration will be entertained. NCHMCT JEE 2009 Exam Centers List of Cities for Written Test Center with Code * Applicants should choose any one Center from the following twenty three (23) Test Centers for appearing in the Written Examination and indicate the same in the JEE Application Form in the appropriate column.
Change of Written Test Centre: * Change of Written Test Centre within a city will not be considered. Under exceptional circumstances, change of center may be permitted if an application with valid reasons for the change of center is received in the JEE Cell on or before 20th April, 2009 along with non refundable fees of Rs.500/- by Demand Draft drawn in favour of National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, payable at Noida.
