Admission in NLIU is based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) which is to be held on 17th May, 2009.

NLIU Admission Details for B.A, LL.B (Hons) Program Five-Year Integrated Course

NLIU 2009 Eligbility for B.A, LL.B (Hons) Program

  1. No candidate shall be eligible for admission unless he/she has passed the class-12th examination in the 10+2 scheme or its equivalent in Science, Arts, Commerce or any other discipline and has secured in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks in the grand total of all papers except additional papers, in the said examination. However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST or OBC category, the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility shall be 45% of the total marks in the grand total of all papers except additional papers at the class 12th examination, and

  2. The candidates seeking admission must not have attained 20 years of age as on July 1, 2009. Relaxation of Two years is permitted for candidates belonging to SC/STand OBC categories.

NLIU 2009 Intake and Reservations:

    The NLIU admits 82 students for its B.A.LL.B (Hons) Program. Out of these 82 seats, 41 seats are for All India Candidates and remaining 41 seats are for the residents of Madhya Pradesh to be filled up through Common Law Admission Test.

NLIU Admission Details for LL.M. Program

The University offers LL.M. Courses in the following three streams:

1. LL.M. in the area of:

  1. Business Law
  2. Environmental Law
  3. Constitution & Administrative Law
  4. Criminal Law.

The courses in the above mentioned specializations will be offered according to the availability of the faculty and the number of seats in each of the above areas will be determined by the University at the time of admission.

NLIU 2009 Eligibility for LL.M. Program:

    The candidate should have secured an LL.B. degree or its equivalent from a recognized University, having obtained not less than 55% marks in the aggregate (50% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC).
