Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur 2009

PAT/PHT/PUT Joint Entrance Test – 2009
 
Applications are invited for admission to the Ayurved/Homoeopathic/Unani courses being run by the State/Private Colleges in the Rajasthan State. The admissions will be made through Joint Entrance Test, 2009 which is Scheduled to be held on Wednesday, the 24th June, 2009.
 
Admissions for Ayurved course being run by the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur and for the Homoeopathic & Unani Faculties will be made through Joint Entrance Test conducted at the National Level, the residents of all the States in India can apply for admissions. For admission to all the remaining Ayurved Colleges, Bonafide Residents of Rajasthan may apply for the Joint Entrance Examination.
 
Note: As per Ayush Dept. Govt. of India vide letter No. R.11011/1/2007-EP Dated 13th March, 2009 admission in Ayurveda & Unani Colleges are subject to permission & renewal of affiliation by RAU.
 
Eligibility
1 The Students should have completed 17 years of age on 31-12-09,
2 Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination (Science Bio Group) at the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or equivalent there to is eligible for admission
3 For admission to Ayurved & Unani Faculties, the candidate must have obtained at least 50% average marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
4 The candidates who have appeared this year at 10+2 examination with science Biology subject may also apply for admission but his candidature will be considered only after submitting his 10+2 passed out mark sheet with requisite 50% marks in Science- Bio Group.
5 For admission to the Unani Faculty the candidate should have Urdu subject in 10th class or he must have passed Adib, Adib-e-Mahir or Adib-e-Kamil from Jamia Hamdard, Aligarh along with above said 10+2 qualification.
 
Reservation
Reservations will be allowed (as per Govt. Rules) to the candidates belonging to the categories of SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped persons, Dependent of Defence Personnels, Residents of Tribal Areas in Rajasthan.

Applications forms can be obtained by depositing cash @ Rs. 450/- (for the SC & ST candidates) and @ 900/- for the General & OBC Candidates from the following branches of The Bank of Rajasthan Ltd From 27th April 2009. :

Application forms downloaded from our website, can be deposited by enclosing a Demand Draft of Rs. 900/- (For the General & OBC candidates) and of Rs. 450/- (For the SC/ST candidates). The DD must be drawn in the name of “Registrar, Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur”, otherwise the form is liable to be rejected.
 
Important Note
The candidate of SC/ST categories must enclose their caste certificate with the Application Form, otherwise the form will not be considered.
 
Last Date
The application form completed in all respects must reach in the office of the Registrar, Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur latest by 5.00 pm on 26th May, 2009, Tuesday through Speed/Registered Post.. The applications received after the due date and time or incomplete forms will not be considered and are liable to be rejected.

ADMISSION OF STUDENTS TO AFFILIATED COLLEGES
      
(1)  Students shall not be eligible for admission to a course of study for an examination unless they have passed the qualifying examination of the University or any other examination recognized for the purpose and possess such further qualifications (if any) as may be prescribed by the Ordinances.
   
(2)
(i) Any candidate against whom an F.I.R. has been lodged by the  University or any of the constituent colleges or any affiliated college or by any other competent authority/officer of the University/College shall not be eligible for admission as a regular candidate in any of the Departments of the University/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated colleges/Institutions;
(ii) Any person who has been convicted of a criminal offence involving moral turpitude shall not be eligible for admission as a regular student in any of the Departments of the University/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges, but he shall be eligible for admission to a correspondence course in the Institute of Correspondence Studies or to appear at an examination as a non-collegiate candidate where this facility is available; and
(iii) Any candidate who has indulged in a misbehaviour with his teacher or with any authority of the University, shall be debarred from seeking admission in any of the Departments of the University/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges/Institutions.

(3) Declaration to be made by each student at the time of admission:
  I declare that:
 
(i) I have not been convicted of any criminal offence nor have I been released on bail in connection with a criminal case;
(ii) No case of criminal offence or moral turpitude is pending against me in any Court of Law;
(iii) No complaint or F.I.R. has been lodged against me by the University/Principal of a Constituent College/Affiliated  College or by any other competent authority, and
(iv) I have not resorted to any act of indiscipline during the previous year.
   
An Entrance Test for Admission in  B.A.M.S. , B.H.M.S. and B.U.M.S.
 
 Eligibility:- A candidate must fulfill the following conditions for admission;
 
(a) A candidate must be a citizen of India.
(b) Candidate must have passed Senior Higher Secondary (12th Standard) with Science-Biology from Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or recognized Board equivalent thereto. Candidates appearing at the 12 examination may also appear in the test. Candidate must have secured aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th standard for admission in Ayurved & Unani but 50% aggregate marks in P.C.B. is not required for Homoeopathy and as per norms prescribed by AYUSH from time to time.
(c) Must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of that year.
(d) Wherever necessary, a candidate belonging to Rajasthan shall be one who fulfills any one of the following conditions.
  The candidate must have studied for last three years of the qualifying examination continuously as a regular candidate in a recognized institution in Rajasthan.
  OR
  Natural Father/Mother of the candidate has continuously resided in Rajasthan for a period of last 10 years and the candidate has studied for atleast 5 years during this period in a recognized educational Institution in Rajasthan.
  OR
  The Candidate is a Son/Daughter of serving or retired employee of       (a) Govt. of Rajasthan including officer of All India Service born on the State cadre of Rajasthan or (b) Undertaking/ Autonomous Body/ Corporations/ Improvement Trust/ Municipal Bodies duly constituted by Govt. of Rajasthan by an Act of Law or by Government of India in Rajasthan or (c) any of the University in Rajasthan or Secondary Board of education, Rajasthan, provided that employee has put in at least three years of service before the year of the admission.
  OR
  The candidate is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan.
(e) For admission in Unani colleges, the candidate must fulfill above conditions and must have passed Urdu as additional subject in secondary standard or must have passed the Adib, Adib-e-Mahir or Adib-e-Kamil examination conducted by Jamia Urdu, Aligarh.
   
(f) The Candidate is required to undergo medical examination before he/she is allowed to join a college after counselling, if the concerned college deems it necessary.
  Note :-
 
1 The relevant certificates, on which eligibility of the candidate is based, will have to be furnished by the candidate.
2 The residence/bonafide certificate wherever required will have to be duly signed by the District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ S.D.M. of the  concerned District, in the proforma given in Form 'A'.
3 In case of serving personnel where service conditions have resulted into eligibility, a certificate of the employer will have to be submitted by the candidate in proforma given in Form 'A'. 
   
   
Allotment of Place of Study
1 The Admission Board reserves the right of Allotment of Place of Study on admission of any candidate without assigning any reason.
2 If, for reasons to be recorded in writing, the Admission Board suspects that a particular candidate has obtained a certificate by misrepresenting facts, the matter will be referred to the concerned D.M. After receipt of the enquiry report, the Admission Board shall take the final decision regarding the admission of such Candidate.
  The Government of Rajasthan has issued the following instructions for the admission of candidates to various Ayurvedic Colleges in Rajasthan.
   
Kinds of seats and Reservations
  All the seats sanctioned by CCIM/CCH and allotted thereon by the University for University / Government college and for a private college aided by Government of Rajasthan are known as state level seats. For a private unaided college management quota shall be the same as prescribed by the Govt.
  All the seats of National Institute of Ayurved, Jaipur are National level seats. These shall be filled on the basis of all India merit through PAT. The admission shall be as per reservation rules of Government of India.
  The seats allotted for the Homoeopathy & Unani are also National level seats, but the preference shall be given to the candidates of Rajasthan origin and in case the seats remain vacant, the same shall be filled by the candidates from outside Rajasthan.

After deducting the state level seats, the remaining seats are called Management seats.

  In case reserved seats are not filled, the unfilled seats shall be transferred to General category seats.
For admission on a state level seat or merit, the candidate must be one who belongs to Rajasthan, as defined in 4.1(d).
   
  The last date for admission to the various courses of study shall be as decided by the Academic Council. In special circumstances, the Vice-Chancellor shall be competent to extend the last date for admission to any course of study and report his action to the Academic Council.
   
  A student when applying for admission to an affiliated college shall bring with him a certificate so as to prove his conduct signed by the Head of the Institution in which he was studying during the year previous to his joining the college.
   
  A student shall be recognized as a member of a college as soon as he has been admitted by the Principal and has paid the college fees.
   
  Notwithstanding anything contained in the Ordinances relating to admission of students to a course of study, the Vice-Chancellor may at his discretion, allow the admission of any student not otherwise covered under the rules provided he is satisfied about the genuineness of the case.
