Introduction The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law or RGNUL, as it is popularly known, was set up in 2006 by an act of the Punjab Legislature. It offers both undergraduate and post graduate law degrees. RGNUL is situated at Patiala in the state of Punjab, India. Eligibility: For admission to the LLB programme of the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, candidates need to pass the 12th standard or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate . For admission to the LLM programme of the University candidates need to pass the LL.B degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate. However, those who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the RGNUL Entrance Test. Candidates should also not be more than 21 (22 for SC/ST)years of age as on 1st July, 2009. Test Pattern of the LLB Entrance: The question paper of the LLB Entrance Exam will be of two parts, each having 1 and half hour duration. Paper A would be of multiple choice questions and paper B will be of descriptive type. Test pattern of the LLM Entrance: The question paper of the LLM Entrance Exam will be of three parts consisting of 30 questions. Paper A will be of Descriptive type, Paper B will be subjective and Paper C will be from the Emerging areas of Law.
