SSC Section Officer (SO) Commercial Audit Examination 2009



1. Staff Selection Commission will hold all over the country on 14.06.2009, an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Section Officer (Commercial Audit), Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted Post in the Office of Comtroller and Auditor General in the payscale of PB-2(Rs.9300-34800) with Grade Pay of Rs.4800)(Pre-revised Rs.6500-10,500/-) all over the country.

2. Vacancies/Reservations:

The number of vacancies to be filled up is 240 (i.e. SC – 36, ST – 18, OBC – 65 and UR – 121) , 04 vacancies are reserved for OH and 03 for HH. These vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease.

Note-I: The persons recruited will be posted in various offices of the department located in various States/Union Territories all over the country, inter alia, these posts carry all-India service liability (AISL).

Note-II: Reservations exist for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Physically Handicapped (Orthopaedically Handicapped /Hearing Handicapped persons as per existing Government orders.

 

The post of Section Officer(Commercial Audit) in the O/O Comptroller and Auditor General of India has been identified suitable for the persons suffering from the disabilities, forty percent or above, of One Arm(OA)/One leg affected(OL)/Partially Deaf(PD)/Deaf(D). The said post has not been identified suitable for the Visually Handicapped candidates.

NOTE-III: Since the post of Section Officer(Commercial Audit) is a Gr “B” Non Gazetted post, reservation for Ex-Servicemen in direct recruitment is not applicable as per existing Government’s instructions i.e. no reservations for ExS category candidates.

3. Nationality/Citizenchip:

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962,with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the Offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
