Eligibility Details: A Bachelor's / Post graduate degree in any discipline of the University or a degree of any other university which has been recognised by the Syndicate as equivalent there to with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor's degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages[Hindi/Urdu/punjabi]and/or in a Classical Language(sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) OR A pass in the final examination conducted by either of the ((a) institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England,(b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England,(c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India. OR Degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recoganised by the Syndicate , 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper,English and the elective subject taken together. OR AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have atleast 5 years research/teaching or professional experience. Selection Procedure: The department has adopted a stringent two phase selection procedure for entry into its management courses.
From the year 2000 onwards admissions to UBS will be through CAT conducted by the IIMs. The students are called for GD and personal interview on the basis of their CAT scores which is conducted on 2nd Sunday of December at various centers across India. Also the interested person has to fill the form for UBS separately also. The last date for submission of forms is 8th Dec, 2000. There are 19 seats in MBA, 14 each in MBA(IB) and MBA(HRD) in General category. For all seats candidates nearly eight times the no. of seats are called for GD and PI. For details see the information brochure available on university counter. Similar calculations are done for other categories. Final merit list of the candidates is prepared categorywise for each course on the basis of their combined aggregate score in written test (CAT) and GD & PI. The weightage for which is as follows: Written test - 85%
