In addition DA, HRA, CCA, Medical Aid, Hospitalization expenses, conveyance expenses LFC and retirement benefits are admissible as per the rules of the Bank. Perquisites like Quarter, Furniture etc shall be provided as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (i), (ii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.

Minimum Educational Qualification, Post Qualification, Post Qualification Work Experience as on 01.01.2009

Probationary Officers: Qualification: A graduate or Post graduate in any discipline from the recognized university with a minimum mark of 55% in either graduation or post graduation. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category. Candidate must have successfully completed a computer course of at least 6 months’ duration from any Institute recognized by Central/State Govt./AICTE: Post Qualification Experience: Nil

Company Secretary: Qualification: Degree from a recognized university with ACS from the Institute of company secretary of India. LLB/LLM is desirable. Post qualification experience: Minimum 5 years experience in related field

Economist: Qualification: Master degree in economics/econometrics from a university/ institution recognized by UGC. Post qualification experience: Minimum 4 years experience in Bank/FIs/PSU in related field

Statistician: Qualification: Post Graduation in statistics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university/institution (not correspondence course) by UGC. Post qualification experience: Minimum 4 years as officer in any scheduled commercial bank/financial institution. Should possess sound knowledge of credit risk models and statistical techniques

Forex Tresury: Qualification: 55% marks or its equivalent grade in graduation and CA/CFA/ MBA (Finance). Post Qualification experience: Minimum 3 years experience in any scheduled commercial bank/financial institution. Should possess sound knowledge of trading equities, Govt securities, corporate bonds etc

Chartered Accountant: Qualification: Qualified Chartered accountant/Cost accountant/CFA. Post qualification experience: Preference will be given to candidates having 1 year experience in accountancy tax matter, USGAAP & bank audit or industrial/consultancy/ Banking/Financing organization/accounting standards of ICAL

Law Officer: Qualification: Graduate degree in Law (3 years or 5 years integrated course from a recognized university). Post qualification experience: Enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council of India. Practicing Advocate for minimum 4 years having experience in dealing with banking/financial institutions or 4 years of combined experiences as practicing advocate/solicitor or working experience as Law Officer in Legal Department in a scheduled commercial bank/financial institution

Risk Management: Qualification: 55% marks or its equivalent grade in graduation in Maths/Statistics/Economics or MBA. Post qualification experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Personnel/HR: Qualification: Full time MBA/Post Graduation Degree (HR)/ Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour Welfare/Labour Law from a recognized University/Institution. Post qualification experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an Officer in an organization/bank

Official Language: Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Hindi an with English as a subject at degree level or post graduate degree in Sanskrit and with hindi and English as subjects at degree level. Post qualification experience: Nil

All education qualifications should be from a recognized board/university institute. The educational qualifications prescribed for the post are the minimum. Candidates must possess these qualifications and must attach proof thereof along with the printout. The work experience, wherever required, should be relevant to the post applied for an should be post qualification i.e. it will be counted from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification. Experience should be as a fulltime permanent employee.

Written Test

: The written test will comprise of Objective tests consisting of Reasoning ability, Quantitative aptitude, General awareness and English language and also a descriptive paper on professional knowledge/subject for specialist officers and general topics for probationary officers. The written test will be held on 14.06.2009 (Sunday) for Specialist officers and on 21.06.2009 (Sunday) for Probationary officers.

How to apply

No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

Candidates applying for more than one post are required to take demand drafts for each post separately and are required to apply on-line for each post separately.

 

Attach following documents to the system generated Online application form and send by ordinary post
(i) Xerox copy of school leaving certificate in support of date of birth
(ii) Xerox copy of the final convocation degree certificate, certificates in respect of passing graduate degree and post graduate degree (Provisional certificate will be accepted only if the candidate has passed the relevant examination during the past one year i.e. 2008) or the university has not yet issued the convocation certificates.
(iii) Year wise/semester-wise mark sheets for the graduate and post graduate degree or professional course
(iv) Medical certificates in case of physical challenged candidates
(v) SC/ST caste certificate/OBC certificate with “Non-creamy layer clause” (Not more than one year old)
(vi) Work experience certificate/s wherever applicable
(vii) DD/Bankers’ cheque

Canidate’s name, date of birth, address, post code & computer generated application number should be written on the back of demand draft/bankers’ cheque.

System generated online application form complete in all respect enclosing the above documents and the relevant demand draft/bankers’ cheque should be sent in a closed envelope by ordinary post only superscribing as “application for the post of ---- (Post code….)” so as to reach on or before the last date to the following address
